I am getting sick of eating whole wheat grain bread slices. Don't get me wrong, this is great for sandwiches, but I am trying to learn and venture into other types of breads into my diet. Also, it is quite difficult to buy bread just for 1 person. Sometimes you cannot finish the entire loaf by yourself before it gets too dry and you have to throw it out.

a few ideas or alternatives
buy mini loaves
freeze half the loaf when u buy it, then take it out to use later
buy kaiser rolls or other rolls, they are sold in bulk so you just buy a few that you need rather than a behemoth loaf you can't finish
for variety i like eng muffins
i'm not a big fan of pita pockets but jenny likes them.
you can also buy naan (indian) lavash bread (persian bread, also good for making flat bread/pizza) if you go to Trader Joes.
i don't tend to eat a lot of bread.
to use stale bread you can make bread pudding, french toast, or make croutons from stale bread.
lol yes, I like pita pockets bc they are so versatile! I can stuff them, use them in flat bread, or dip them in hummus, or make pita chips out of them! I've done the home baked naan before and it was always super filling, since you had to make the whole piece (its a big piece) so I don't really buy it anymore and just eat it when I'm at an Indian restaurant.
I also bought some kaiser rolls for my burgers, and used the left overs for lunches. Sometimes I buy fresh french bread (bakery section) to eat with my soups, and one roll is pretty manageable for one person and costs $2 or something.
I also like rye and pumpernickel the swirled bread, you can find it at cvs if TJ doesn't have it.
Or Challah because it makes great french toast! But it's sold in a large loaf....
So much bread vocab that I need to learn! haha i dont currently eat a lot of bread either because I dont know how! I bought corn tortilla this weekend during my grocery haul, but didn't like it :(
